Staff Needs Your Help

The Community Development Permit Technician team is short-staffed and training new employees during this time. If you have submitted a permit application or documents using your online portal at any point during the last few months, we assure you that your permit is in the queue and that we have received a notification from the system. Various staff members are processing permits in order and as fast as we can. We are unable to print large-size plan sets during this time.

Technical/code questions should be directed to that division's plans reviewer (see the staff directory). Refraining from requesting status updates will allow our staff team to process permits faster.

Otherwise, please e-mail plansubmittals@coconino.az.gov if you need help using your online portal or have other questions. This e-mail is being monitored and you can expect a response within 1-2 business days. Thank you for your patience during this time.

2026 HOLIDAY CLOSURES

Please note that the Community Development Department will be closed and inspections will not be performed during the following holidays:

HOW DO I REQUEST CODE ENFORCEMENT?

We are experiencing unusually high call volumes related to code enforcement. In order to serve everyone as quickly and effectively as possible, the department offers online code enforcement requests. 

Click on Contact Us (above), then click on Report a Concern, and please note the following:

  1. We are not able to respond to anonymous requests.
  2. We are not able to respond to requests for information unless you use the methods listed below in the section entitled "How Do I Request Public Information?"
  3. We are not able to respond to requests that are not specifically related to code enforcement for building, zoning, wastewater, or grading/drainage violations.
  4. Phone calls requesting code enforcement may not be returned. You must submit an online request. If you need assistance using the online request system, please call 928-679-8850, then select option 0.
  5. In your online request, submit just the facts - who, what, when, where - and limit your description so that code enforcement staff can discern quickly what the violation is or is not.
  6. You may create a unique pin that you can use to check in on the status of your requests later. The pin is optional, however you cannot view your previous requests without it.
